Week 3 - Finding Strength in the Struggle

Hey Cstone Family!

In our recent readings, we have been introduced to the story of Job. The Book of Job helps us to understand the following:

Satan cannot bring destruction upon us unless it is by God’s will for us.

God has power over what Satan can and cannot do. It is beyond our human ability to understand the "why’s" behind all the suffering in the world. Sometimes it may feel like your world is crashing down. Look at Job…. he lost his money, family, and health, and was left with nothing. Throughout all of his tests, Job never chose to curse or doubt God, even when those around him pressured him to do so. Throughout it all, God remained enough for Job. Job teaches us that God requests our love and praise in all circumstances of life. He deserves it… even when we may not feel like it.

  1. Have you ever found yourself in a Job moment? How were you tested in moments of hardship and pain?

  2. Job was a good and faithful servant, but found himself wrapped in death, pain, and confusion. Why do you think that God allowed Satan to test Job?

  3. In life’s low moments, do you believe that it’s okay to feel angry with God?

Again, thanks so much for your feedback. Would love to hear your thoughts!
